Terms of Service
This document sets out the terms of use for the PianoChords application (the "Service"). By registering or using the Service, you accept these terms.

PianoChords is an online piano learning application providing chord charts, chord tracking synchronized with YouTube videos, real-time AI feedback (AI Coach) and chord practice tools. The Service is accessible via a browser without installation.
Some features are available for free; others require a registered and/or subscription account. You agree to provide a valid email address, keep your password confidential, and take responsibility for all activity on your account.
The provider may suspend or terminate an account in case of abuse, fraud or serious violation of these terms.
Three plans are available:
- Free: free access to a limited repertoire and basic features. Free forever.
- Repertoire: EUR 5.50 / month billed monthly, or EUR 49.20 / year billed annually (≈ EUR 4.10 / month). Full song catalog, personal playlists, PDF download.
- AI Coach: EUR 10.99 / month billed monthly, or EUR 98.40 / year billed annually (≈ EUR 8.20 / month). Includes everything in Repertoire plus real-time AI feedback, practice statistics and 12-level chord training.
Prices are in EUR and include applicable VAT. Price changes will be notified by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders — Paddle handles payment, VAT/tax, invoicing, refunds and customer service inquiries related to purchases. Your card and payment details are handled by Paddle and are not stored on our own servers.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of the selected period (monthly or yearly) until cancelled. You will be notified of upcoming renewals by email.
You can change plans or cancel at any time from your account. For yearly plans, the remaining period is credited proportionally.
After cancellation, paid features remain available until the end of the paid period, after which the account automatically switches to Free. Your data and playlists are preserved.
EU consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal from a paid subscription. In addition, we voluntarily offer an unconditional 14-day money-back guarantee on the first purchase. Refunds are handled by our Merchant of Record, Paddle — see the Refund Policy for full details.
The Service's interface, code, trademarks and provider-created content are the provider's intellectual property. Songs, lyrics and embedded YouTube videos remain the property of their respective rights holders; the Service displays them for educational and demonstration purposes only.
Chord charts are educational aids. Commercial reuse, bulk download or redistribution of the content is not permitted.
You agree not to:
- use automated tools to bulk-download content or overload the Service;
- attempt to circumvent subscription limits or authentication;
- share account credentials or paid access with others;
- upload unlawful, offensive or infringing content.
The AI Coach performs automated analysis of your practice and gives personalized feedback. The feedback is informational educational content and does not constitute professional musical or pedagogical advice. Accuracy depends on the input (microphone quality, ambient noise, MIDI setup).
The Service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the provider disclaims liability for indirect damages resulting from use of the Service (data loss, loss of profits, etc.). The provider does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

The provider may unilaterally modify these terms. Material changes will be notified at least 15 days before they take effect, by email or within the app.
These terms are governed by Hungarian law. Consumers may turn to their local conciliation body or the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/odr). Other disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of the provider's registered seat.
